Botana Campomar 🐙🌶🦐Mexican food is as diverse as its people. From all the corners of Mexico you can find anything from carne asada, mole, tacos, soups like pozole or caldo talpeño to seafood. Mexico is mostly surrounded by water, so seafood is abundant in Mexico. It is mostly eaten as fresh as it can be. Not a lot of work is done to seafood like it is to other meats. A favorite is to just add lemon and salt, it brings out the the flavor but without coating it with other flavors that you don’t even know what it really tastes like and very often it’s eaten with hot sauce and tostadas. Here we have a great example of this. A ‘‘botana’ ’(an appetizer) consisting of octopus, steamed shrimp and scallops with just some lemon, salt and a sprinkle of hot chilli powder; it doesn’t get any fresher!
